1. How to start an application on XJTU system?

Make sure you follow the instruction of the application procedures.
2. Where can I submit my application? Do I need to send hard copies to university?
Please submit your application and documents on our application system:

NO, online application is the only way to apply.
We do not accept hard copies.
3. When is the deadline for XJTU application?
For Postgraduate Application, the deadline for Siyuan University Scholarship, City Government Scholarship, Self-sponsored and other programs is April 15th, 2023.
For Undergraduate Application, the deadline is June 30th, 2023.
For Pre-university Foundation Application, Route A (36 weeks) deadline is on September 15th, 2023.Route B (18 weeks) deadline is on March 15th, 2023.Route C (11 weeks) deadline is on April 15th, 2023.

Important Notice:
All the holders of scholarships must take the Scholarship Annual Review to confirm the next year’s scholarship status and/or level after being admitted.
5. When do I need to pay the application fee? How long is the given time to pay the application fee? And how much is the application fee?
The university will send Payment Notice for application through system information/email to those who pass the initial review. Students should pay close attention to the application system and registered email. Usually, applicants will have 7 days to pay the application fee, however, those who pass the initial review around the application deadline will have no more than 3 days to pay. The application fee for scholarship programs is 800RMB/Person. For Self-sponsored programs is 500RMB/Person.
6. What are the methods to pay fees?
Method 1: Online payment: Wechat, Alipay.
Method 2: Offline payment: Cash, Bank Transfer (If you pay by wire transfer, please keep the receipt and submit it to online application system).

9. If I'm applying for English-taught programs, do I still need to provide HSK proficiency?
If you are applying for English-taught programs, you will need to provide transcript of IELTS 6.0 and above, or TOEFL 80 and above. Other language proficiency certificates are also acceptable upon approved by XJTU. HSK proficiency certificate is not compulsory, but you can also upload on the system which may add credits for your application.
If you are applying for Chinese-taught programs, you will need to provide report of HSK 4 180 points and above for bachelor program, HSK 5 180 points and above for postgraduate program. Or other language proficiency certificates are also acceptable upon approved by XJTU.
10. How many recommendation letters do I need to provide?
For bachelor program, one original recommendation letter from principal or teacher.
For postgraduate program, two original recommendation letters written by professors or associate professors. If applicants have already got provisional acceptance from professors in XJTU, please provide Xi’an Jiaotong University Recommendation Letter from Potential Supervisoras one of the two recommendation letters.
