Tao Yan received his B.S. degree in Control Science and Engineering and Ph.D. degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from the Faculty of Electronic and Information Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 2007 and 2014, respectively. He has been a faculty member as an Associate Professor in the School of Automation Science and Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University. Currently, he is a member of the Institute of Integrated Automation, and the Ministry of Education Key Lab for Intelligent Network and Network Security, Xi'an Jiaotong University. From 2009 to 2011, he did research on target classification with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Calgary, Calgary, AB, Canada. His research interests cover information fusion, target tracking, sensor management, threat estimation, rough set theory.
