The Silk Road economic belt is the area with the most important resources for energy and minerals in the world. Therefore, to further develop strong chemical engineering industries along the Silk Road, and achieve the effective utilization of the energy and mineral resources, it is vital to promote economic and social development along the Silk Road. Due to the significance of the development of chemical engineering industries along the Silk Road, and under the guidance of UASR, the chemical engineering department in XJTU propose to establish an sub- alliance of the UASR.
The sub-alliance will inherit and promote the spirit of the Silk Road, dedicate itself in promoting schools and departments inside the sub-alliance for inter-university exchange, talent nurturing, research cooperation and cultural communication. It will build the platforms for education together, start friendly cooperation, and enhance the openness and development in the areas. The sub-alliance will also nurture chemical engineering talents with international perspectives, promote the development of the industrial chains of chemical engineering, and serve the economic construction of European and Asian areas along the Silk Road.
