The Institute of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (formerly: Institute of Biomedical Engineering) was founded in 1987 by Pro. Jiang Dazong, one of the biomedical engineering discipline founders in China. The Institute conducts scientific research in the field of "intelligent health and rehabilitation equipment and engineering", comprehensively uses modern information technology to study the scientific issues of dynamic signal acquisition, processing and regulation of cells, tissues and the body in the heart and brain system. Breakthroughs have been made in the early prediction, effective intervention and prognostic evaluation of brain and heart dysfunction with new approaches, new strategies and new methods, and the development of new generations of diagnostic and the rapeutic equipments.
