About Institute of Intelligent Diagnosis and Control for Equipment

The Institute has been established based on four pioneers: Liangsheng QU, an Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and a pioneer in the field of monitoring and diagnosis; Professor Weixiang SHI, a pioneer in hydraulic transmission and control; Professor Depei DAI, a pioneer in damping vibration and noise reduction technology; Professor Zhengjia HE, a pioneer of early failure intelligence prediction. It consists of an intelligent diagnosis laboratory, a vibration and noise control laboratory,and an equipment intelligent control laboratory. It is an important educational and academic entity of mechanical engineering in Xian Jiaotong University, as well as an important component of state key Laboratory of Mechanical Manufacturing Systems Engineering. In 2011, it was approved as an innovation team of the Ministry of Education. The research results are being widely used in aviation, aerospace, navigation, national defense, energy, electric power, petrochemical, steel, transportation and other industries, and also have achieved significant economic and social benefits.
