According to the 2023 World University Ranking by Academic Subjects published by Shanghai Ranking, the School of Mechanical Engineering of Xi'an Jiaotong University （XJTU） was ranked No. 1. Since 2021, XJTU's mechanical engineering has been consistently ranked No. 1.
