XJTU attends ICENSS 2025 in Paris
Experts and scholars from China and Europe attend the ICENSS 2025 in Paris.
The 4th International Conference on Energy Storage and Saving (ICENSS 2025), organized by Université Paris Cité and Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), was held from May 26 to 28 in Paris, France.
Approximately 150 experts and scholars from various countries gathered to exchange ideas on thermal chemical energy storage, phase change energy storage, molten salt energy storage, and energy-saving technologies for data center cooling, thereby deepening and expanding multilateral cooperation.
Academician Tao Wenquan, a professor at XJTU and member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a keynote report titled "Recent Advances in Thermal Management of Data Centers". He comprehensively reviewed the development of data center cooling systems in recent years, analyzed their evolutionary trajectory, and elaborated on emerging trends in air-cooling and liquid-cooling engineering technologies.
The conference also featured a roundtable discussion on artificial intelligence and data center energy consumption, which involved Tao and Professor Antonio Cisternino from University of Pisa. Co-organized by the European university alliance Circle U, this forum attracted over 200 experts participating online from nine European universities.
The fifth editorial board meeting of the Energy Storage and Saving (ENSS) journal was also held online and offline during the conference. Attendees, including the editor-in-chief, editorial board members, and publisher KeAi, engaged in discussions on plans for the 5th ICENSS and the journal's future development strategy.
