XJTU ranks first in total number of awards at CPIPC.

The China Postgraduate Innovation & Practice Competitions (CPIPC) and the China Postgraduate Innovation Practice Achievements Exchange Conference opened in Nanjing, capital of East China's Jiangsu province, on May 16.

The event brought together numerous guests from universities, research institutions, enterprises, and other fields nationwide to review the fruitful outcomes of postgraduate innovation practices over the past year.

During the summary and recognition session, the 2024 Annual Report on CPIPC was released. Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) secured the top national ranking in terms of both total awards and overall contribution.

In 2024, XJTU sent 2,307 postgraduate students and 656 teams to participate in 19 CPIPC-related events. They earned 28 first prizes, 90 second prizes, and 124 third prizes. Both the number of first prizes and total awards ranked first among 697 participating institutions nationwide, with significant growth in both scale and quality compared to the previous year.

In the China Postgraduate Energy Equipment Innovation Competition‌, XJTU won four first prizes (while also ranking first in total awards), with the number of participants rising to second nationally.

In Postgraduate Electronic Design Competition‌, XJTU won 10 first prizes, ranking second nationally.

In China Postgraduate Engineering Case Competition‌, XJTU won three first prizes, ranking second nationally.

XJTU also won three first prizes in the China Postgraduate Mathematical Modeling Competition‌ and two first prizes in the China Postgraduate "Dual Carbon" Innovation and Creativity Competition‌.

Chu Hanbing's team from XJTU's School of Life Sciences won the "Electronics Star Award" for their ultrafast ultrasound multimodal blood flow imaging and analysis system, which received high acclaim from judges.

Qian Cuncun from XJTU's School of Energy and Power Engineering was named "Energy Equipment Innovation Practice Star". Their interdisciplinary project in chemistry, physics, and thermal engineering demonstrated internationally leading standards.
